South East

The South East Regional Special Education Council includes the following districts: Medicine Hat School District, Medicine Hat Catholic School District, Prairie Rose School District, Grasslands School District and Prairieland School District. East Central Alberta CSSRD and Christ the Redeemer CSRD may also have school that fall within our geographical region.

We have a vibrant group of teachers that meet on a monthly basis to share information and collaborate. Our executive includes a mix of classroom teachers, learning coaches and central office personal from Medicine Hat School District, Medicine Hat Catholic School District and Prairie Rose School Districts. Grasslands and Prairieland School districts both have a representative that receives the information from our meetings and advertising of any professional development opportunities. We have members that work in specialized classrooms, inclusive classrooms and teachers who play a supportive role for students and staff. We have teachers in rural and urban schools providing a diverse view point at our table.
